Thank you

Thank you to the many amazing volunteers and supporters who came out to support Woking Liberal Democrat’s brilliant candidates yesterday in #Woking

And to everyone who voted for me in #MountHermon – thank you so much for your support, I am honoured to be re-elected to work with and for the community over the next four years 🗳️🔶#LocalElections2024

I have loved being a Mount Hermon councillor for the past 3 years, despite grappling with the perilous state of Woking’s finances. I’ve said before but I will say it again, this was by no means a ‘normal’ councillor journey. So again thank you that I’ve been re-elected to Woking Council this week. It means a lot to know that I am trusted to continue working for residents alongside the ongoing process of the community asset transfer, a somewhat complex piece of work that is already underway.

From reporting potholes (often, sadly), bushes/hedges for cutting back, housing queries, saving pool in the park, introducing the community asset transfer process, highlighting violence against women and girls, serving the community on Surreys Police and crime panel, maintaining and renovating playgrounds, making community meals cost neutral, visiting every street across the ward and knocking on thousands of residents doors to hear your views and ideas, and so much more – it has been a wild, invigorating and fascinating 3 years, a real insight into community life, and I look forward to continuing this.

I’m happy to hear from members of the community and particularly Mount Hermon residents, about your concerns and ideas for the community.
